Welcome to Green Twigs!
We offer a very nurturing and caring environment, brimming with creativity and learning. Our Nursery embraces the Montessori method of education, blended together with Forest School education and the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
Our sessions run from 9.00am to 12.00pm with the possibility of staying for an additional lunch session until 1.30pm.
We also offer extended days until 3pm, Monday to Thursday and 1.30pm on Fridays.
All three and four year olds who attend our setting will receive the government's early years funding. Please see Fees and terms section for more details.
We also welcome two year old children who are eligible for the government's two year old funding scheme into our setting.

Premises
Green Twigs Nursery operates from the Scout Hut at the end of Rugby Road, situated north of Bedford Park in Chiswick, West London. We have a good sized private garden as well as our magical little forest running alongside the hut and the garden. Plenty of opportunities for outdoor learning, adventure and fun!

CURRICULUM
The ethos behind Green Twigs Nursery encourages children to be free and independently select and choose from a variety of activities. This enables them to develop their self esteem, promoting their overall personal, social and emotional development and well being. The children thereby gain the confidence to explore their environment and develop the skills necessary to try the many different activities available to them.
Children are able to move freely between the inside classroom and outside to our garden. They also have the opportunity to access the onsite, enclosed little forest on a daily basis. We operate a key teacher system with all of the teachers observing and helping all of the children. We follow the individual child’s interests and help to extend and support their learning journey through our observations.

Fees
FEES for non funded places
(We do ask for a voluntary contributions towards our enhanced provision for children entitled to funding)
We offer different options from Three to Five mornings/days per week from 9:00am–12:00pm. All children above the age of 3years are entitled to the 15hr funding provided by Ealing council.Fees for non funded places and any additional voluntary charges for our enhanced provision are paid termly in advance or monthly over three months. We also offer a few places for the 2 year old funding, and the 30 hour funding depending on availability. Other combinations of sessions are available; Please feel free to contact us for more information on funding and all of the above.

Three mornings per week, 9:00am–12:00pm .....£1370 per term
Five Mornings & Four Afternoons per week, 9.00am – 3pm (Mon – Fri) …….£4130 per term

Three Days per week, 9.15am – 3pm……£2740 per term
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays extended days until 3pm (£35, optional extra)
Lunch until 1.30pm is £12.50
Early bird option to drop off between 8.30am and 9am will be an additional charge of £6 per morning
Voluntary Contribution for the enhanced provision
Green Twigs offers a unique Montessori & Forest School experience that goes beyond basic childcare. To support this, we ask for a voluntary contribution called the Enhanced Provision Fee.
For 3 & 4 year old Funded places - £6.50 per hour (£3.50 for Forest School and £3 for Montessori).£19.50 per session. £35.75 per day
2 year olds – £3.50 per hour (£2.00 for Forest School and £1.50 for Montessori) £10.50 per session £19.25 per day
No extra charge for lunch for funded hours
Funded hours are between 9.00am - 3.00pm / 9.00am -12pm
Lunches
We ask you to supply a healthy packed lunch, in line with our packed lunch policy. We will supply healthy snacks every morning & aftermnoon.

FOREST SCHOOL LEARNING
Like Montessori, Forest School learning is based around the interests of that individual child. The two methods of learning complement and support each other.
The idea of Forest School education originated in Scandinavia and is now being used all over the UK. It allows children to learn and develop in an outdoor environment independently and at their own pace. Forest School is an inspirational process that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees. Forest School can be applied to all ages and abilities and can be linked to the National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage at the same time providing an even further and richer learning experience.
We offer tailored forest school sessions during the afternoon (1.00pm - 3.00pm) to local primary Schools, We have delivered sessions for Southfield Primary School and Orchard House School. Please email katie.greentwigs@gmail.com if you would be interested in facilitating this for your School.
After School Clubs & Holiday Camps
We currently operate after School clubs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. We offer pick up from Southfield Primary School, but children are welcome to join from other Schools; parents will have to drop their child off at around 3.30pm.
